The Charms Of Tokyo

The Charms Of Tokyo
By Travis Ignatius Xavier

One thing that most people enjoy doing is traveling. There are many places you can go on your vacation. You can drive to your Aunt Matilda's house for the week, or you can make a journey across the country to visit Disneyland. While these vacations are certainly enjoyable, you won't get quite the excitement of traveling abroad.

Naturally, there are plenty of places you can choose from when making a decision to travel abroad. If you want to play it safe, you can go to England or Australia, where they speak English, and everything is pretty much the way it is back home. However, if you really want to expand your horizons and your comfort zone, consider taking a trip where you'll have to get by with a foreign language. For those of you that are adventurous enough, Tokyo is just the place.

One of the main reasons is that Tokyo is first class. You can expect first class hotels, first class restaurants, and above all, first class customer service. Japanese are world famous for their politeness, and when you visit Tokyo, you will find this to be true.

One more reason why so many people love Tokyo is the public transportation system. The taxis are clean and comfortable, and the subways are safe and always on time. You will not find a public transportation system in the world that rival's that of Tokyo.

If you enjoy temples, then Tokyo is the place for you. While Kyoto is certainly famous for its temples, there are plenty to choose from in Tokyo. And they are all over the place, so no matter where you are, you can pop in for a quick bit of inner contemplation on the mysteries of the universe.

Naturally, when you visit Tokyo, you must check out a Sumo match. This ancient tradition is a combination of religion and sport. If you manage to see a live event, you will see first hand a part of Japanese culture that has gone back hundreds of years.

A trip to Tokyo is something everybody should experience. The city is safe, clean and alive. You should start planning your trip as soon as possible.
