As a kid you probably ogled shiny Hot Rods as they drove by, you might have even chased them on your bike, unwilling to let them out of your sight. You made a promise to yourself that when you grew up you would own one of these classics. Now that your older and thinking about a collectible car you might consider limited editions and famous classic cars collectibles or famous classic cars instead of just old models.

Generally speaking if you decide to go with just a collectible you are going to pay market price. This might include a Cherry Red 1965 Mustang convertible or a maybe even a late 60s Corvette Stingray. However, if you decide you are ready to set yourself apart, and truly acquire something special, then you need to look into a vintage or similar car with a famous heritage.

These vehicles were produced for only 3 years, from 1967-1969, and because they included special dealer installed performance packages, from only one dealership in America, making them not only Limited Editions, but also extremely rare.

The Yenko Camaro and the Shelby Mustang were not all that right off the factory floor. Each was considered a muscle car in the year they were produced, but they were the diamonds in the rough that a gear head searches for.

Don Yenko and Caroll Shelby took these cars and gave them radical performance upgrades before selling to the general public. Once they had been enhanced their value and reputation increased dramatically, coupled with the fact that these two individuals only performed these modifications for a few years has made these vehicles highly sought after in any serious car collection.

When the time comes to make your childhood dream a reality, it will only benefit you to make sure you are investing in the best car that you can afford. As these cars continue to age, they will increase in value, helping you enjoy your investment for years to come, possibly handing it down to your children, giving them the same sense of excitement you felt when you saw your first Scale model cars Hot Rod.
