One of the best way to cook rice is to boil it and the majority of the folks do this. It is also a good way because it removes all of the unhealthy starch from rice. You must try using the Japanese method of boiling rice to enjoy a superb taste. Wash rice many times, soak them in water over the night, drain water and boil them the subsequent morning. Use equal portions of water and rice while boiling.

Boil the water in a stew pan with a tight lid. Once, the water has come to a boil, add the rice. Stir the rice and then cover the lid. The cooking time for this rice is 15 to 20 minutes. Serve this rice with potatoes, vegetable stock or even curries. It is suggested that you use best quality rice for this one as poor quality rice will not have the specified texture, which should spoil your meal.

An engaging way of cooking rice is to cook them with oranges! Sounds engaging? Here's the recipe. Wash rice properly and steam it. While the rice is cooking, add some oranges and sugar to your taste. You may even use honey to make the meal fitter. But do not forget to skin the white skin off the oranges and obviously you'll have to take away the seeds before adding them to rice.

When you serve the orange rice, place pieces of orange in every saucer. It'll add to sample and the visual appeal of the dish. Orange rice are simple to make but the catch lies in choosing the correct rice. You need to pick finely processed rice only to come out with the ideal dish.

Who announces you need to cook rice in water? You can cook it in milk too. Rice cooked in milk can make for a good dessert. Firstly, soak the rice in water. Ideally, you want One cups of water to soak One cup of rice. Now boil some milk and drain away the water from the rice. Add the drenched rice to the milk and keep stirring, for an hour. Then, add some sugar together with finely chopped nuts and raisins. You could serve this dish steaming hot or keep it in the refrigerator for some time and serve cold. Basmati rice works best for this recipe.
